One Man Tent

One Person Tent, One Man Tent, Small Camping tent, 1 Person Backpacking Tent

Best one man tent (one person) whether you are backpacking, bicycle touring, car camping or just backyard fun.

When I was growing up my parents and sisters used the tent trailer while the boys used tents because a tent trailer was not for us. What about your family? There are lots of tents and the styles vary considerably so check carefully before making any purchase.

What to look for when buying a one man tent:

  • Size - some of these tents are large enough to stand in while others you can only sit up so it depends on what you intent to us it for.
  • Weight - important only if backpacking or bicycle touring
  • Ease of setup - the last thing you want to do is spend a lot of time setting up a tent after a long drive, hike or ride so it needs a quick setup
  • Framing - the number and size of poles is only important if backpacking or bicycle touring. Some tents are self supporting
  • Quality waterproofing - and does it require a footprint, come with a protective fly.
  • Ventilation - to keep you cool and help dry off the tent. Also with  some styles the fly can be removed so you sleep under the stars with only  a protective mesh
  • Pockets - it hold all those small, yet useful items you always need when camping

Pick a one man tent from the styles listed below and check them out.
