Two Man Tent

When purchasing any tent meant for two people check out the size carefully as some:
- Do hold two people comfortably
- May hold one person plus child, dog or gear
- May hold two people depending on the size of the adults
- While some of these tents are very roomy, other two person bivy tents are quite lightweight and compact and they do no provide room to stand in the tent. They are designed for backpackers and bicycle touring where size does matter.
What to look for when purchasing a two man tent:
- Size - can it hold two people?
- Weight - really only important if backpacking or bicycle touring
- Fabric - is it waterproof and is a footprint necessary. Is there a fly also.
- Ventilation - to keep you cool during those long summer days and dry off the tent quickly in the morning
- Easy setup - you do not want to be fumbling around in the dark or after a busy day
- Framing - how many poles, their size and weight. Or is the tent self supporting.
- Style - nice color and good looking. Usually one important for car camping
