  • What customers say about the Kelty Noah’s Tarp

There were many positive reviews for this tarp. Many reviewers stated that is extremely versatile. One reviewer remarked, “there are a lot of ways to set this tarp up so it meets a lot of needs when camping. I’ve used it to shelter extra gear and firewood (using trekking poles to set it up) as well as tying it to a tree to shelter my hammock,

This reviewer explains some of the versatile ways he has used this tarp saying, “if you need to secure one side to the ground to block serious wind it works. If you have trees, then it is amazing as a sunshade. If it’s rainy and you want to put up a shelter in just a few minutes it can serve a fairly large group.”

Reviewers mostly like the great tie down system of anchor points and the Nite Ize Figure 9 guy line adjuster as well. Some reviewers did not like the tie down points but it varied depending on the size of tarp purchased.

A number of reviewers liked how well it held up against the winds of 25-30 miles per hour, especially that it did not tear or get blown down. Bottom line they felt the construction quality was good.

Held up well under difficult winter storm I took a Noah’s Tarp on a solo winter trip to Yosemite National Park. I used it as a secondary ‘roof’ over my 3-season tent; my primary interest was to protect my tent from ice and snow falling from trees and onto the tent.A storm dropped sixteen inches of heavy ‘sierra cement’ snow my first night and eight inches the second night. Noah’s Tarp held up well to the abuse. The poles flexed severely but did not bend. This storm required 3 guy lines (a total of 12 stakes) on each corner to support the weight of the snow. Properly guyed, this tent would be secure in strong winds, too. After the trip, I inspected the grommets and stitching; everything held up and is ready for more.I have posted a ‘customer image’ to show the tarp in action.

Absolutely love this tarp Absolutely love this tarp. This thing is awesome. Me and my boys spent the night in our tent set up in the back yard last night. I set this up in front of and over the tent and it rained all night. It was nice not having rain flipping in on us as we opened the tent door in the morning and it was also nice stepping out of the tent onto dry ground when everything around us was soaked. Not to mention having a large dry area to set equipment so it wouldn’t have to be in the tent with us. There are tie down straps all over this thing allowing for a lot of mounting options. I added a picture of our setup. This is the 16 footer. I also bout the 12′ for my hammock and it is absolutely perfect. I will post pics of it later.
