The Eagles Nest Outfitters DoubleNest Hammock is for the ultralight backpacker as it both lightweight and compact. Big enough for two and palatial for one, the DoubleNest still manages to stuff easily into its attached compression sack.
What is good about the Eagles Nest Outfitters DoubleNest Hammock
Packs small – for a backpacker this hammock is great as it weighs only 22 ounces and still packs down to the size of a grapefruit making it hardly noticeable in your pack. The hammock stuffs into a compression sack making it easy to carry.
Large size – allows room for one, two, or three people, however you want to distribute 400 pounds onto the hammock’s 6-foot-8-inch-wide surface. Yet, after a long day on the trail it lets you stretch out in luxurious comfort when you reach your campsite
Easy setup –After just a few short minutes of setup, the hammock puts you back to basics, with a design that dangles gracefully in some of nature’s most beautiful settings.
Good quality carabineers – comes complete and ready to hang with high-quality steel carabineers and strength-tested nautical-grade line unlike some other brands which feature S-hooks.
Made strong – the parachute-style hammock is made of breathable woven nylon microfiber that offers superior strength and wear resistance.

What customers say about the Eagles Nest Outfitters DoubleNest Hammock
There were lots of positive reviews for this hammock. One reviewer stated the he has been sleeping in this hammock as a bed for about 2 months. Very comfortable when I lay diagonally in it. Very sturdy and stable. Should last for a long time.
Another reviewer said the ENO hammock has very good quality caribiners, unlike a lot of hammocks which have S-hooks (although I am sure you could purchase your own caribiners or higher quality S-hooks). Also, the ENO hammock is supposed to be able to hold up to 400 lbs, compared to most other hammocks which state 300 lbs. The hammock appears very durable and strong, and we have actually had it in the rain, and it dries very quickly.
Numerous reviewers say they only use this hammock for one person. One reviewer commented that he only use it for one person, but because it’s wider than a single nest, after I add a sleeping pad and my sleeping bag and camping pillow, there is plenty of fabric on the sides to protect me from breeze, or just make me feel like a caterpillar 🙂 I slept in this for a week straight on one camping trip, with a rain fly set up for wind, rain & falling branch protection.
This reviewer mentioned if you are hiking and you wanted to bring this as opposed to a tent, I’m sure the bug netting, rainfly, possibly gear holder would make great accessories and make this a great option for sleeping.
