What is good about the GSI Halulite Microdualist

Light & compact – everything fits in one pot which fits in the stuff sack while weighting only 17.8 ounces for two backpackers. Compact as well with the dimensions are only only 5.5 x 5.6 x 5.9 inches.

Wash basin – your welded stuff sack holds this set while also doubling as a sink and wash basin in camp.

Strainer – pot lid also serves as a strainer, handy when making those pasta dinners.

Eliminates spills – the unique Bowl  and mug solution with low center of gravity and Sip-It lid virtually eliminate spills while the insulating sleeve keeps your drinks hot.

Very complete set – made for two backpackers you get a pot (with lid), insulated mugs, bowls (with lids) and more.

Solid construction – as light as Titanium, Halulite is a proprietary alloy that also conducts heat better and more evenly so you can leave the extra fuel at home. What customers say about the GSI Halulite Microdualist

For example one reviewer said I’m amazed how small this set shrinks the whole camp kitchen! All the parts, plus my MSR Pocket Rocket Stove and a can of JetBoil 4-season fuel all fit inside. Total size is 6″ in diameter by 8″ in height. The handle of the main pot folds over the top and holds the lid on rather securely. I tipped the entire thing upside down and shook it: no rattling and nothing came tumbling out.

Another reviewer remarked its lightweight, compact, and well-made. I can’t believe all of these things fit into such a small space. Everything fits inside the large pot. The bowls come apart to make 4 total and there are sipping lids for the smaller bowls. 2 of the bowls have “cozys” for holding hot liquids. Measuring is a breeze with the inside marks on the bowls. The sporks are easy to open and collapse and have their own case. I also keep a small sponge inside the other bowl for cleanup. The big pot works well and food doesn’t stick to it all that much. It seems to heat up pretty quickly, too. The lid is very useful and has a built-in strainer, which is nice for cooking pasta.

This reviewer was nervous after reading the reviews and knowing I would use it a lot. For one, the thermals around the cups are removable so don’t know why someone said they weren’t. They clean very well and have not got scratched up for how often I have used them on hikes. The sporks are flimsy but they are plastic so I didn’t expect much and so far I still use them. Going on my second year and love this product.

Packs light and is ideal size for feeding two backpackers When our son was home from college the last time, he and my husband went on a three-day backpacking trip through the mountains. On past trips like this, our son has rented the cookware, stove, and some other gear from his university. We decided to buy it this time. This cookware set was the perfect size for them. It packs up very small (approximately 5-inch by 5.5-inch). All of its components fit inside the cooking pot and the pot handle fold up compactly over the top of the lid. While its small appearance might look too small to feed more than one person, it actually worked well. They were covering nearly 30 steeply sloped miles in their three days; so by the time they reached their evening destination, they were exhausted and hungry. Using this cook pot and the MSR PocketRocket Stove, they were able to heat water in a couple of minutes for a quick cup of powdered hot chocolate, coffee, or dehydrated/powdered soup mix. The weather was cold, so that gave them…

Simple, lightweight, well-built, great price This set is absolutely perfect for two people. It’s compact, lightweight, and brilliantly designed. I love that I can fit my ultralight stove and fuel can inside the nested cook set with ease. The entire package weighs fewer than 800 grams with a full fuel tank. The handle is sturdy and doubles as a lock for the lid to keep everything together in your pack. The lid has a convenient strainer and the little lid handle/tab is diminutive and effective. The neoprene sleeve drink cups seemed a bit gimmicky to me at first, but they work fantastic. The multicolor bowls and cups (orange and blue) nest perfectly together and make it easy to keep track of whose is whose.I also like that this is anodized aluminum and DOES NOT have a not-stick coating. I HATE the toxic non-stick stuff and refuse to use it as it will for sure flake off and end up in my food. You could use sand and water to clean up this pot if you wanted to. We mostly just use it to boil water. The…
